Teacher Of The Issue

Here at Archbishop Shaw High School, there are teachers that are very passionate about what they teach students and how they teach the material. If students don’t learn the material that is being taught or not taking the time and effort to learn it then can’t fall on the teacher. Mr. Benjamin Russo is a junior chemistry teacher at Archbishop Shaw High School. The amount of energy he puts into every lecture makes the class more interesting and prevents students from being off task. Mr. Russo possesses a few character traits that enables him to be in this role.

Mr. Benjamin Russo is a very caring man and that can go a long way when teaching at a high school. It shows that he is willing to help a student and that makes the students throughout the school able to go up to him without a problem. Not only in his teaching, but throughout the day Mr. Russo is never negative. He shows his positivity with a smile on his face everyday and even on his bad days he doesn’t show signs of negativity. Mr. Russo is extremely passionate about his work. The passion he has for chemistry is unreal. Labs, activities, notes, and classwork are things that show how passionate he is about chemistry and his passion comes out through the amount of work that is put into each thing. Knowing things about a teacher is important. Mr. Russo is a strong leader for not only his chemistry students, but also every student in the school. That just goes to show how much he cares about the school. Religion is something Mr. Russo cares about a lot. He has a strong religious character and respects aspects of religion and not only what he believes in, but also what others believe in as well.

Taking the initiative to show students the care he has for teaching is awesome. This role goes to Mr. Benjamin Russo for his passion, dedication, humbleness, energy, and for being a role model to all students at Archbishop Shaw High School.
