Welcome to the new Band

With a new year, comes new students. Out of every new student that has come to Shaw, about ten to twelve of them decided to join the band. During band camp, the new band members showed that they were able to read music well and be able to march for the first out of four field shows. This years field show will be a tribute to John Williams, with music selections “Summon the Heroes,” “Jaws,” “Raiders March,” and “Jedi Steps and Finale.” The band has high expectations for the upcoming year. During the previous years, the band has grown exponentially. The band trip this year will be a trip to Disney World and they will march down Main Street playing Mardi Gras tunes. The band will do just as well or even better than they did last year.
