Fifth Time’s the Charm

By: Ian Olsen

Archbishop Shaw is holding it’s 5th annual shrimp and jambalaya cook-off. Last year’s shrimp cook-off was a huge success. Last year there was an estimated 2,000 lbs of shrimp cooked. There will be a total of 3 bands playing this year including: The Strays, Joey Thomas Band, and the Bucktown All-Stars. There will also be a car show which will take place in the All Saints' Hall parking lot. A craft fair will also take place. This year is looking to surpass last year’s event as always. This year’s goal is to make everything closer together so it is easily accessible to everyone. The shrimp cook-off is supposed to take place in the front of All Saints' Hall this year. The Parent’s Association plays a big part during the cook-off. They are in charge of the car show and craft fair. We hope for the best as the cook-off approaches and to have a fun and safe time.
