Cougars have amazing win at first playoff game

The first playoff game was on October 19. Burke/South Central Cougars played against the Highlanders in Scotland. There was an organized free bus for Cougars fans. Burke/SC brought home a win 40-18.
Tyrone Mizner received for 92 yards and Brock Karbo passed for 152 yards and 4 rushing TDs . Kaleb Wells had 1 quarterback sack and Finn Hanson had 1 touchdown reception.
“Very proud of young men! They have kept battling this year, and have overcome adversity. We continue to improve as a team. We took care of the ball and we’re able to score in the red zone. We played physically throughout the game and made big plays when we needed them,”coach Mike Sebern commented.
Burke/SC Cougars lose against Sully Buttes Chargers at the second playoff

Burke/South Central traveled to Sully Buttes on October 27 to play their second playoff game. There was an organized bus for Cougars fans. The game ended with Cougars’ loss in first two quarters with the score 0-56.
Jaden Frank was 3-4 for 21 yards passing. Finn Hanson had 50 rushing yards and Brock Karbo had 1 quarterback sack.
“We ran into one of the best teams we have ever played in a while! We needed to extend drives and keep their offense off the field. We did not do that. Our kids played hard like they always have this season. We know we still have much work to do to get where we want.
We would like to thank all the parents for their support and the pregame + post-game meals provided throughout the season! And to fans and community, we wish to thank them for their unwavering support,” coach Mike Sebern commented.
