The 3rd grade class is incorporating laptops as part of their daily instructional routine and practice. They are working on group activities where they are learning how to discuss, share, and listen to classmates ideas and thoughts.

The class is also managing the procedures and routines that go along with a 90 minute reading block, putting the reading first!

The fourth grade class has been working to master their "36 Friends", which are the 36 basic multiplication facts.

They went to the Swift Pumpkin Patch on October 19. The class sold their aluminum cans in the cage on October 20.

The fourth grade is also learning about the five regions in the US, in Social Studies. And they will get another kit from the State Historical Society in Pierre. It will contain things from the Lewis and Clark expedition.

The fifth graders are done with the fall sports. The girls have started basketball.

Inside the classroom they are very busy, learning a few different to do long division problems that the student found to be quite fun. Soon they'll start dealing with decimals.

In science they are focusing on the animals. now they learned about various adaptations that species have to survive in their environments, and how to classify them.

The students have been having a lot of fun learning all this new things and concepts.
