Cougars Come Out With a Striking Win Over Corsica Stickney

The Cougars started their season off with a 38-0 win over Corsica Stickney on September 11 in Corsica. It was just a 7th and 8th grade game. The Cougars took the ball and ran with it throughout the entire game.

Ben Witt started the scoring off with a 35 yard touch down run . PAT failed, with a score of 6-0. During the next play Ben Witt threw a 3 yard touch down pass to Bryce Frank, making the score 14-0. The boy's started the game well and ended the game strong.

Cougars Defeat Gregory

The Cougars second game was held in Burke against the Gregory Gorillas. The game was on September 14. The 7th and 8th graders are the only ones who played that night.

Taron Serr had a 50 yard touch down run. PTA failed. Ben Witt also had a 10 yard touch down run, PAT failed. Later in the game Taron Serr had a 50 yard pass play to Bryce Frank. Bryce Frank also had 2 interceptions and Ben Witt had 1. The 5th and 6th graders scrimmaged during halftime of this game.

The Cougars had their first loss against the Colome Cowboys on September 18. The game was held in Colome. The Colome Cowboys scored first making the score 6-0. The first to score for the Cougars was Ben Witt, with a 5 yard touch down run to tie the game 6-6. The score was still 6-6 at halftime.

In the 4th quarter to put the Cougars ahead Bryce Frank had a 1 yard run and got another run for the extra point, putting the score at 14-12. On the last kickoff of the game, Colome ran it back for a touchdown and ended the game with a score of 18-14, winning the game. The 5th and 6th graders scrimmaged during halftime of this game.
