FRANCIS DESALES HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR NEW SCHOLARSHIP MATCH PROGRAM COMMITMENTS: $700K FROM EXTERNAL DONORS PLUS $1.4M HERITAGE COLLEGE MATCH " $ 5.6 M Institutional and external scholarship funding that 377 students received in 2017-2018 STRONG CENTRAL OHIO HIGH SCHOOL PIPELINE Nearly 50 students from 25 central Ohio high schools explored health care careers during our Medical Academy at Dublin. The program began with a four-day camp in June, followed by quarterly enrichment activities during the school year. Taught by Heritage College faculty and students, OHIO physician assistant students and medical experts from OhioHealth – our signature sponsor and program partner for the academy – students participate in human anatomy and physiology, clinical skills and simulated patient labs. Since its inception, participants have given the academy enthusiastic reviews, many saying the experience affirmed and strengthened their intentions to enter health care professions. 08
