NCAA Division
II Men’s Tennis
Elite 90 Award
SURPRISE, Ariz. – Lander men’s tennis junior Eirik
Groner was named the recipient of the Elite 90
Award for the 2018 NCAA Division II Men’s Ten-
nis Championship. Groner became the second
Lander student-athlete to win the award since its
inception in 2009.
The award, which was founded by the NCAA,
honors the individual who has reached the pin-
nacle of competition at the national champion-
ship level in his or her sport, while also achieving
the highest academic standard among his or her
peers.
Groner holds a 4.00 cumulative grade point
average while majoring in business. He was
presented the award during the Tennis Champi-
