ABOUT THE FLAGLER COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
IT’S NOT ABOUT US, IT’S ABOUT YOU!
Like most chambers of commerce, the Flagler County
Chamber was formed by a group of local business leaders to
address a major concern. In 1962, that concern centered on
plans to construct a new interstate (I-95) that would
completely bypass Bunnell’s business district along the US-1
corridor. Businesses rallied to raise funds to erect billboards
along the newly constructed I-95 letting people know that
Flagler County was open for business. This effort marked the
formation of the Flagler County Chamber, an organization
with a mission to engage, promote and sustain a thriving
business climate. That was our mission fifty five years ago,
and that is our mission today.
We are a successful organization that is committed to
working with and for its members to support businesses in
our community. This organization meets the needs of more
than 700 members through a variety of benefits and services,
giving them the competitive advantages they need to
succeed.
This visitor and newcomer guide was created to help you
navigate our community and get settled, connect with our
member businesses and learn more about activities,
opportunities and events throughout the county.
If you’re new to the area, please call or visit the Chamber’s
office if we can help you with business-related or general
information. You should also check our website, www.
flaglerchamber.org, frequently to see what’s happening in the
business community. There are also plenty of ways to get
involved as a new member: volunteer to serve on a
committee or the board, attend events throughout the year
and network as much as you can. Let us know what the
Chamber can do to help your business thrive.
