ON THE WATER
Although Flagler Beach has a population of less than 5,000 people, it attracts thousands of
people to its shores year-round. The area is known for its hip vibe and near-perfect waves,
making it ideal for surfing. Bring your own board or rent one to hang ten like a pro. Local surf
shops offer lessons with surf camps held each summer to teach the basics. After a day riding
the waves, refresh by grabbing a bite to eat at Tortuga’s Florida Kitchen & Bar, serving up fresh
food and tasty drinks with an oceanview. And, you’re sure to catch more than a wave when you
spend time browsing the local boutiques and shops like the Flagler Beach Gift Shop that dot
the coastline in Flagler Beach.
