In Memoriam
Betty Ann
Kennedy
On May 3, 2016, the Miniature horse
industry lost one of it’s leading ladies,
Betty Ann Kennedy.
B
etty suffered several strokes in early 2016 and then passed peacefully with friends, her
daughter, Helynn Clapp-Emory and grand-daughter, Lisa Pichler nearby.
The farm, Gallery Originals in Arlington, Washington produced hundreds of quality foals,
many of which went on to be AMHA National and World Champions.
Perhaps the most famous horse purchased by Betty was the chestnut, Rowdy son, NFC Rowdys
Champion. His $50,000 price tag reflected the commitment and dreams Betty had for her
farm in December 2001. Her dedication never wavered, and her family will carry on with the
offspring of her beloved minis and be shared with future generations.
