Dr . Gale Tenen Spak is a leader in developing training programs that address the needs of business to keep New Jersey ’ s economy growing . As NJIT ’ s Associate Vice President for Continuing Professional Education , she continually collaborates with academe , industry and government to design essential training programs to ensure a skilled workforce . Her experience includes managing , developing , marketing , proposal writing , evaluating and implementing programs for professionals who require new education and training to keep their skill sets at the cutting edge . Moreover , Dr . Spak ’ s extensive writing on the topic of professional education has established her as a subject matter expert in the field and she presents globally on this subject .
In addition , Dr . Spak leads three Talent Networks for the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development – Advanced Manufacturing ; Information Technology ; and Transportation , Logistics and Distribution . Before joining NJIT , she was Dean of the School of Professional and Continuing Education at New York Institute of Technology .
Dr . Spak earned her Ph . D . in Political Science and M . A . from Yale University , and her B . A ., magna cum laude , Phi Beta Kappa , in Political Science from Brooklyn College of the City University of NY .
