GENETIC COUNSELING
Jill Qualter Chisholm, GeneScreen Counseling
GeneScreen Counseling, an independently owned genetics counseling company, identifies
inherited risks or conditions enabling clients to make informed choices regarding their
healthcare. Handled with compassion, clients are screened, counseled and tested for over 100
plus genetic conditions.
By partnering with multiple labs, clients can receive the most appropriate testing given their
specific familial history and concerns. Clients are then counseled and provided with the resources
to make informed decisions, including: increased preventative care, medication management,
surgery, and family member education.
GeneScreen provides clients with: competitive prices, remote or in-person meetings, and short
wait time for appointments. GeneScreen Counseling can order genetic testing including all ACOG
and ACMG recommendations. They also provide the independent and unbiased counseling in the
preventative setting for hereditary cancer syndromes, such as BRCA 1 and 2. Expert educators explain
results and the science of genetics. Jill Chisholm, CEO and founder of GeneScreen Counseling,
obtained her B.S.N. from Georgetown University, worked as a nurse in infertility and reproductive
endocrinology for seven years, received her M.S.N. from Columbia University, and graduated a
Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in genetics. She also worked at Rockefeller University
in genetic research. She was a Leading Women Entrepreneurs finalist in 2015.
