She has spent most of her career trailblazing new areas from the New York Times to New Age stadiums. Almasi’s success is dependent on the widespread long term relationships she has established and the ability to handle whatever comes. However, it is her resilient work ethic, strength of character, and true understanding of changing client needs that has allowed her to “stay in the room.” Working for John Almasi Trucking Co. from the age of twenty, she helped the company expand from material hauling into a full service underground utility contractor. Under her leadership, the company’s client base grew to include commercial sited, pharmaceutical companies, oil and gas providers, government and education institutions, and sports facilities. In 2002, she broke through the “glass ceiling” in a male dominated field, by starting her own site work firm. Almasi Companies is a women’s business enterprise, specializing in utility installation, electrical and mechanical trenching, soil remediation, and trucking services. As President and CFO, Anne Marie oversees all finances, negotiates bonding, develops marketing, responds to customer services needs, generates sales, purchases equipment and supplies, and manages employee relations. Almasi exemplifies what it means to be a hands on owner. Anne Marie believes mentorship is one of the most important aspects of her job as a leading woman in construction.
