Large transom windows above the
double slider make use of the vaulted
ceiling, creating a virtual wall of windows
overlooking the backyard and patio. The
configuration was recommended to them
by one of Meridian’s lead carpenters.
“It is our favorite thing in the house. We
absolutely love it,” says Sherman. A handchiseled ledge stone fireplace in the
living room was fashioned after one she
had seen (and fallen for) in a magazine.
