Message From the Mayor
Welcome to Western Canada’s fastest
growing city, the City of Martensville! We are
an active and friendly community of nearly
10,000 people. I would like to personally
invite you to explore the many reasons why
so many people call Martensville home.
Martensville, a great place to play!
Martensville is a safe and friendly community
that is always warm and inviting. We have
an abundance of recreational facilities
to keep you and your family busy and
active. If walking, jogging, long boarding,
rollerblading or biking is your thing, you can
find nearly 10 km of paved trails connecting
our community. The Martensville Athletic
Pavilion provides year round recreation
options with 3 court surfaces, 200 metre
running track and fitness areas. No matter
what you choose, I am sure you will be
surprised at all that Martensville has to offer.
Fishing, canoeing, spray park, curling, ball
diamonds, football, soccer, kart racing track,
tennis and swimming are just some of the
few things to do while in Martensville.
Martensville, a great place for business! Economic development continues to grow
in Martensville. Joining an already strong retail, service and industrial sector is
Canadian Tire, Saskatoon Co-op Food Store, Speedy Collision, Boston Pizza and the
Great Canadian Oil Change. Martensville offers a strategic advantage as the central
hub for the region, located just 8 km north of Saskatoon and the centre of the regional
area. Offering economic development incentives and a residential to business tax
differential that is second to none in Saskatchewan, Martensville is definitely open for
business.
Martensville, a great place for families! Martensville has two elementary schools
and one high school. The high school is currently in major construction mode as
it doubles in size. The first phase is now complete with a performance arts theatre
that is connected to the Martensville Athletic Pavilion. The construction of two new
elementary schools is well under way in our newest neighbourhood, Lake Vista.
Outside of school, the many recreational and community events create a community
that our family loves to call home. I am confident yours will too!
On behalf of all residents, I’d like to welcome you to Martensville, quite simply, a great
place!!
Kent Muench - Mayor of Martensville
