Homework is the primary responsibility of the child. Parents should check nightly to see that homework is completed neatly and is legible. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TEACHER IS: 1. To assign homework which is an integral part of the instructional program to reinforce student understanding and mastery of skills being taught. 2. To make assignments clear and assist with translations as necessary. 3. To check homework daily and return to students with appropriate comments or marks. 4. To recognize students who consistently complete homework assignments. 5. To inform parents when a student fails to complete homework assignments. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT IS: 1. To record assignments and due dates before leaving class. 2. To make sure assignments are understood and to ask questions to clarify any doubt regarding the assignment given. 3. To take home all appropriate materials needed to fully complete assignments. 4. To complete assignments accurately and neatly. 5. To return completed homework to school on date due. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENT IS: 1. To demonstrate that homework is a priority by creating a regular time a suitable quiet location for study. 2. To insist that the child properly use and care for school books and resources. 3.
