Pursue internal hospital policy changes affecting nutrition and physical activity
environment.
Tactic: In partnership with the Healthy Hospital Initiative, develop and adopt formal
evidence based policies (ex – access to free water; no marketing of unhealthy items,
etc.) aimed at maintaining and enhancing efforts to improve nutrition and physical
activity environment at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Tactic: Demonstrate collective impact resulting from institutional level policy changes
in partnership with other hospitals and public health departments across the state.
Setting / Delivery Mechanism
Provider – CHCO main campus and network of care sites will be the focus,
however outcomes and learnings will be shared more broadly with the
community to help drive collective impact efforts. A variety of delivery
mechanisms will be deployed including internal communications and education
efforts, physical environment changes, availability of programming, and more.
