Beau Geste – 1939 Film Review

By Devilish Vikki

Yet another movie from 1939 one of my favorite years for film. A dear friend recommended this one. Was not too sure about it I’m not very interested in war pictures and not a big fan of Mr. Cooper. All I could do was give it a try and keep an open mind. Starring

Gary Cooper, Ray Milland, and Rob Robert Preston...directed by William A. Wellman.

I was actually blow away by this film was done well yes it is considered a war picture but I saw it more as a movie about brotherly love and loyalty we just don't have in today's world.

They fought with each other next to each other but never against each other maybe was it because they were orphans who lived with a wealthy lady and had a jewel that was worth a lot of money it gets stolen or lost maybe just put away for safe keeping. I think I would have to give this one a 4 out of 5 stars and give my friend who told me about this one a wink and a smile and a big thanks.
