Maybe it's just me. Maybe because I write political articles for a magazine. Maybe because I keep a political blog here on Facebook. Maybe it's just all the above. I know I can't expect everyone to see the amount of information that I do on a daily basis. I belong to more than just a vast number of news groups as well as political analysis groups. I get an enormous amount of posts coming in all the time. I do my best to share them on FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE. This keeps my main page from getting overly crowded with political posts. It gives a common ground for that type of information. He is what the "blindness..." is all about? You don't have to all that active in the political scene to see the obvious. The truth is not hidden in plain sight, it is right there in front of you waving flags, blowing whistles, and chiming bells. When the presidential race started I had no preference to which candidate I would vote for. I tried to keep an open mind and not be bias in either direction. My eyes and ears became WIDE open, and I let the facts start to formulate my preference. I wasn't really a great fan of Hillary, didn't really like her political views or stance over the years. I was willing to see what she changed for her election pitch. Never the less, it was worse that a tennis match and her views on issues were back and forth and changed their content and intention many times from what she expressed as little as 4 years ago. I started to realize that she was saying what she thought the people wanted to hear. Problem was, it was all the same hollow political banter that the Democratic Party seems to pitch in just about every elections, well at least the last 3-4. It didn't take long for me to make up my mind about Hillary. This decision didn't even include her track record as Secretary of State, nor the pending investigation of her homegrown email server. Those were just the spikes threw the chains to hold the coffin in the ground. Then there was the "Don." I liked the concept of a businessman in the White House. May not agreed with his initial points of view, but over the next year and a half I watched him mature into damn good politician. Only fear there is how good. Just like any good businessman he can talk a good game, pitch a good sale. His staff came up with a very effective campaign. His longevity was in question at first and even I doubted it at first. I remember another rich candidate that stepped into the presidential race years ago, Ross Perot in 1992, and the history books show how that ended up. After that election we didn't really hear much from ol' Ross. He just seemed to fade into and out of the political realm with no further desires to continue or be involved in politics. So, my initial concern with Mr. Donald J. Trump was his dedication to follow through. Would he stick to his guns and carry on to the finish. The other candidates, well they were all career politicians, names pulled from the hat that made it look possible. Didn't see much sparkle on either side of the fence. Bernie and Ted, even though the may be great gentlemen, just didn't stick out to me. As always, the other parties didn't have a candidate that showed me much either. So there we had it. The initial call for me was Trump and Hillary. Now I knew a little of the Clinton's past, not as much as I was about to find out. I believe that as a responsible voter you should take the time and investigate (maybe that is a bad word to use) I mean, research the plausible candidates you maybe voting for. Just makes sense. Well what made common sense to me, didn't seem to be common sense to a lot of others. Very quickly the Hillary scandals surfaced and my research became more in depth. My memory isn't the greatest, but is refreshed fairly easily. White Water, Travel Gate, and the list started to grow. Then the email trails were taking place, Benghazi was refreshed in the midst of it all. Now one of the two candidates that were on my list had become very stained with a bad stench and I still had not gotten to her political views. I didn't have to. Her actions had disqualified her from being president in my mind. No candidate with that sort of past should ever be elected to our countries highest position, Commander In Chief.
