As the Year We Called 2016

Runs Through Its Daze

By Barclay

We have had so many roller coaster moments during 2016. There have been an abundance of tears, and hopefully for you, an equal number of laughs and happy moments. In the virtual worlds, we have lost many well-loved members, from my circle of knowledge, none bigger than Norm, and Rand, but so many others that each of you will have known crossing paths and sharing pixel time, if not a plethora of other social methods.

Connecting many of the friends list I view, are so many talented singing, recording, and/or writing stars. And yet, there is a sense of joy in sharing all of these moments, gaining knowledge and insight to the now departed. I feel the juxtaposed and yet, intertwined feelings of sorrow and happiness to now be closer through the stories, music and writings from each.

We live in a world, or worlds, as it is in the pixelated versions we immerse ourselves in, where we have the ability to mourn, cry, shed those tears, and rejuvenate our souls through that sharing. We have just passed a very tumultuous election, fraught with division, negativity, and fears for tomorrow, yet, the outcome had to occur. We cannot change that. We can at least move on and work towards unity by using the same methods I wrote of above; shed the tears for what we believe we have lost, then reach out as a people and, in reality, a world, to keep striving for a unity and balance in everything. Speak to someone, anyone, and find the common ground to move forward.

Here is the USA, its Thanksgiving. The time families gather with the intent of sharing the year, the food, and the time together. Yet, we find many have a hard time just talking and so many holidays end in bitterness, separation and bad feelings or worse. Peaceful wishes to every one of you. May you all find that peace, that humble energy to stay close. Feed the soul with better understanding, more friends and an ever growing family. Raise a virtual glass of cheer to all we have truly lost, but then raise it again, for so many things we have and can learn. Blessings!
