HARBOR BRIDGE PROJECT HIRING EVENT
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend partnered with Flatiron / Dragados , LLC ( Project Developer ) for the U . S . 181 Harbor Bridge Project and hosted the Harbor Bridge Project Hiring Event on October 14th at the Sunrise Career Center .
It is estimated that over 5,000 people attended this first , project-wide job fair that offered job seekers an opportunity to apply for a variety of positions including field engineer , laborer , forklift and crane operator , welder , cost engineer , draftsman , concrete superintendent , carpenter and cable stay bridge engineer . It is a privilege to have been a part of this historical event in launching and organizing this first hiring fair with more to come in the future .
