Farewell to Seniors

By: The Eagle Times

Time. What an interesting thing. It is not tangible, but it touches every physical entity in this universe. It is has a value that is not measurable, yet it is the most priceless thing in the world. Time can be given and taken. Time can be spent and wasted. It can be a gift. It can be a variable. Almost anything can happen, but it takes time to do so.

For example, human growth takes time. You are born. You spend the first three years learning to walk, talk, and use the restroom. Afterwards, you go to school for over a decade learning about language, science, and mathmatics, but out of all those growing activities, the most important ones were the past four to five years of high school.

Your bodies have transtioned from fun-loving boyhood to mature adulthood. You have taken on challenges in the classroom, on the field, whereever; and you have overcome all of them. You have formed bonds between other men who you consider your brothers. In all of that time, you have learned responsibilty, respect, reason, reverence, kindness, love, and so much more. Now, it is time to go.

You are done. You have done everything Archbishop Shaw has required of you. You must take the lessons and experiences you have received here and move on in life. No matter what life throws at you, we are confident you will succeed.
