General Information
Pets, (personal guide dogs are allowed); alcohol, weapons or outside food or beverages are not
allowed into Lamar State College athletic venues. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on campus.
The Lamar State College Port Arthur Director of Athletics, in conjunction with the game officials
and the Head Athletic Trainer, will have final authority with regards to suspending contests due
to lightening and/or other weather related issues or other emergency situations. Lamar State
College- Port Arthur utilizes the flash to bang method and will suspend a contest if lightening is
determined within six (6) miles of the facility. The contest will not be resumed until thirty (30)
minutes following the last observed lightening strike. The Athletic Training Room is located in the
Carl Parker Center.
