Twelve PBC Track & Field Athletes Selected for NCAA
Championships
NDIANAPOLIS, IND – Twelve Peach Belt Conference men’s and
women’s track & field athletes were chosen to compete for national
championships as the NCAA released the qualifiers for the champi-
onships. The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held
May 25-27 in Bradenton, Fla., at the IMG Academy. The University of
Tampa will serve as host.
The lone women representing the PBC will be NSU’s Shakira
Bartley and Sherrelle Jordan. Bartley had the only NCAA automatic
qualifying mark in the PBC with her leap of 12.73m in the triple jump
at the Seminole Twilight. Jordan makes her third straight trip to the
NCAAs. The two-time All-American had the fastest 110 hurdles time
in the PBC at 13.62, sixth-fastest in the nation this season.
