University of Tampa will serve as host.
Columbus State will send four athletes to the finals as their
4x100 relay team qualified with the third-fastest time in the nation.
Nate Blackmon, Xavier Matthews, Jalen Tolbert and John Williams
turned in a time of 40.14 at last weekend’s Aggie Last Chance, the
third-fastest time in the nation this year. In addition, Matthews will
compete as an individual in the 100m dash after turning in a time of
10.45 at the PBC Championships.
Nova Southeastern will also send four athletes across the state
to Bradenton as two men and two women will represent the Sharks.
Eric Moate ran the fastest 100m in the PBC this year with a 10.44
at the PBC Championships and will be seeded 17th at the NCAAs.
Rohan Mullings will be 14th in the 100 hurdles after running a 14.27
at last weekend’s Aggie Last Chance.
Florida Tech will send a pair of jumpers to the NCAA Champi-
onships. Joshua Norville will be seeded fifth in the long jump after
hitting a distance of 7.58 at Embry-Riddle in February. Ondrej Rapp
will be 16th in the field in the long jump after turning in a 7.50m at
the PBC Championships.
UNC Pembroke’s Christian Ceccato qualified in the 110 hurdles.
He posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the event twice
over the last month, including a time of 14.30 seconds at the Aggie
Last Chance on Sunday. He also registered an NCAA provisional mark
(14.44) on the way to earning all-conference accolades at the Peach
