The NSCAA also released their All-Region teams with 17 PBC players selected. Jarrell was named a first-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and third-team by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). A sophomore from St. Augustine, Fla., she was second in the PBC with 19 goals and 42 points on the season. She led the conference with 84 shots taken and was third in game-winning goals. A first-team All-Conference selection she scored nine goals in six games for the Cougars in their run through the post-season, including four goals in the PBC Tournament alone. Jarrell and the Cougars will play in the NCAA national semifinal on Thursday against Grand Valley State. VanHorn set a new UNG single season records this season with 21 goals, 46 points, and tied former All-American Kelly Penston’s mark of 1.00 goals per game. The Marietta native now holds the North Georgia career record for shots on goal with 131 and ranks second all-time at UNG in goals scored (41). The forward helped lead UNG to its most successful postseason run in program history as the Nighthawks made their third consecutive appearance in the Peach Belt Conference Championship match and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Mandy Janowitz was tied fourth in the PBC with 12 goals scored this season. A senior forward from Alpharetta, Ga., she was third in the league with 32 points and led the PBC with 15 assists. A first- team All-Conference selection, she had four game-winning goals including a strike in double-overtime to beat West Florida in the NCAA national quarterfinals. Cassandra Wade was tied with Janowitz with 12 goals scored this season, fourth in the PBC. A junior from Augusta, Ga., she was also seventh in the PBC in assists and fifth overall in points. A first- team All-Conference selection, Wade had a pair of game-winning goals on the year and scored against North Georgia in the NCAA southeast regional final.
