STAFF INFORMATION Marnie Parris-Bingle has been with TRiO SSS since 2008 and continues to dedicate herself to the academic and personal success of her students. Her relationship with GVSU began during her time as a graduate student in the College Student Affairs Leadership (CSAL) program, culminating in her Masters of Education. While at GVSU, Marnie has taught in both the Allied Health Sciences and Career Exploration programs. By combining nearly eight years of experience in human resources and over 13 years of experience in higher education, Marnie strives to help students define their own personal success. MARNIE PARRIS-BINGLE PROGRAM ADVISOR ARIEL ARNOLD PROGRAM ADVISOR Ariel Arnold serves as a Program Advisor for TRiO Student Support Services. Ariel graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Africana Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Education Leadership from Western Michigan University. During her time at Western Michigan University, Ariel provided project support for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Racial Healing Planning Grant for academic success and school readiness, advised and mentored students in the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, and competed as a Division 1 student-athlete for the women’s track and field team. Ariel also presented at the Michigan College Personnel Association conference and served as a Next Generation Student Affairs Committee member. Ariel plans to continue to serve as mentor for students on GVSU’s campus through NIARA. Care McLean currently serves as the Program Coordinator for TRiO Student Support Services. Care graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University and a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University. During her time at Michigan State University, Care was a McNair Scholar and Liberty Hyde Bailey Scholar. As a Masters student at Grand Valley State University, Care was a graduate assistant in Housing and Residence Life, a mentor for the NIARA program, as well as an advisor for the Intercultural I
