2015 • Season outlook

Jennifer Lauer will look to finish her career at on beam.
Nebraska on a high note after battling an injury last
Lauer also had a str ong first season with the
season. Lauer is set to lead the Husker beam lineup Huskers in the classroom, earning individual
and hopes to contend for a conference title.

2014 • Junior Season
Before Nebraska
Lauer kicked off her junior campaign in stellar
form before falling to injury after only five meets.
Prior to her injury, Lauer captured five beam titles
in five appearances on the event, highlighted by her
performance at Penn State, where she earned Big Ten
Event-Specialist-of-the-Week after taking her fifth
beam crown with a score of 9.925.
She earned career-high marks of 9.90 on bars
against Minnesota and 9.825 twice on floor during
her short season. Lauer was ranked in the nation’s
top-15 on beam for five straight weeks in 2014. She
also took home her second Academic All-Big Ten
honor for her work in the classroom.
Lauer competed for coaches Mike Durante and
Stephanie Kelly at Premier Gymnastics in Omaha,
Neb. Lauer was a four-time Junior Olympic National
Qualifier and finished 29th at the 2011 JO meet.
In the 2011 Region IV meet, Lauer finished fourth
(37.175) in the all-around and posted the best
vault (9.60) and bars (9.40) scores. Lauer was the
2010 Nebraska bars, floor and all-around state
champion. At the 2010 JO National Championships,
Lauer placed fifth on bars and took 21st on beam.
At 2010 Regionals she took fourth in the all-around.
In 2009, she won the all-around and bars titles at
the Regional Championships.
2013 • Sophomore Season
Personal
Lauer secured her spot as one of Nebraska’s top
beam workers in her second year as a Husker. Lauer
opened the 2013 season with a splash on the road
at Michigan, posting the nation’s top beam score
with a 9.95 on Jan. 12. She went on to earn nine
scores of 9.85 or higher throughout the season,
while capturing a team-best five titles on the event.
Lauer appeared in the national rankings on
beam several times throughout the season and
ended the year at 22nd nationally. Lauer put in
another stellar performance on beam at the Big Ten
Championships, earning a share of the conference
title with her 9.90 performance.
Lauer was born on March 30, 1993, in Colorado
Springs, Colo. Lauer is the daughter of Dan and Kim
Lauer, and has a twin sister, Amanda, who is also on
the team. Jennifer is majoring in nutrition, exercise
and health sciences at Nebraska.
2012 • freshman season
Lauer provided Nebraska with solid depth on
three events throughout her freshman campaign,
seeing action on vault, beam and floor. Lauer’s
consistency enabled her to be called up to compete
for the Huskers at the NCAA Salt Lake City Regional
on vault (9.85), beam (9.80) and floor (9.725). She
also competed in her first NCAA Semifinal for the
