was sent there thinking I was there to help the people of Peru, but
in reality they have helped me so much more. Lastly, I encourage
you all to truly seek the Lord and to continuously pray for one
another. Have faith that He will provide and He will.

Jehovah-Rohi:
Once again, I had the honor and privilege of being a part of the
Short Term Mission Trip to Peru. This year God really spoke to
my heart at the two orphanages we visited in Arequipa. As we
were doing our daily devotional in the morning, the scripture that
we read was about Jesus being our Good Shepherd and we are
his sheep. I didn’t understand the true meaning of this until that
morning.
Like the one lost sheep, the children at the orphanage were once
“God is our Shepherd who is
willing to leave his 99 sheep
to find that one lost sheep.
Each and every one of us
is that lost sheep because
without Him, we are lost in
this world.
“
lost, but they were found by God through His servants Sister
Sharon and Pastor Jose and made sons and daughters of our
Heavenly Father through the love and grace of God. We spent
time with the children, playing sports, cooking curry, and doing a
mini VBS. Although we didn’t speak the same language, it didn’t
prevent us from bonding instantly.
The time I spent with these children was one of my most
memorable times during the mission trip. I give all the glory to
God for spreading the fire in the lives of these children and the
people in Peru.
