During the first week of the 2015 short
term mission trip (STMT) to Peru, six
missionaries visited two orphanages in the
Arequipa region of Peru. Due to poverty
and high birth rates in the region, there is
a staggering number of children who enter
the orphanages. Our missionaries visited
the orphanages to share the great love that
comes from our Father.
They took the orphans to go to the park,
played soccer, made friendship bracelets, and
shared some ice cream together. For lunch,
our team cooked curry and rice, which
many of the children have never heard of
before. But they loved it; some eating two
or three platefuls until both the rice and
curry ran out.
The children performed a special dance
they had prepared for the team and they
shared hugs, kisses, prayers and selfie photos
just as before the team had to depart. It
was ture experience of His kingdom on
earth.

For me, it started a few months before the trip. Something was
tugging at my heart to participate in the 2015 STMT, so I had
prayed for revelations from God to see if this really was His will.
The confirmations had come immediately after the thought. I
knew what God’s will was at that point, but now there stood a
blaring question, “How am I going to pay for this trip?” I am a
college student working par Ёѥ
