Mind of Christ
“He Will Bring Great Things” -Hwan Yong Yoon, COJ Korea
This year is almost gone. Indeed time goes so
fast. I feel like this is as fast as a running river.
COJ-Korea has not made much progress this
year even though we tried very hard. I feel sorry
for that.
I remember the word God gave me in Jeremiah
45:5,
“But you, are you seeking great things for
yourself ? Do not seek them; for behold, I am
going to bring disaster on all flesh, declares the
Lord,”
Succeeding in the World
When you see a newspaper or meet people, they
all say that we should do great things to succeed
in this world. Not only non-believers but also
believers are seeking great things to succeed in
this world. We all say that we should do great
things, but for whom? Is this for our Lord? Or is
this for myself ?
When I try to do something for the children, I
wonder why I do this. Do I do this for children
or do I do this for my ego? The word, “for
myself ” bothers me so much. Finally I decided
that I will only follow our Lord Jesus Christ as
I do everything for the children of Korea. I will
not be in front of Him but only behind Him
when I do God’s work.
I reminded myself the word our Lord said to us
in Matthew 25:
“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something
to eat; I was thirsty, and you Me gave drink; I
was stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and
you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I
was in prison, and you came to Me.”
What Jesus Did for us
Indeed we are trying to do as Jesus did for us. Many
people looks great in the flesh, but their spirit
may be very much naked and hungry. In the
coming year, I will try to find many Children
of Jesus who are isolated and need my help
physically and spiritually. I am not going to do all
these work for myself, but I am going to follow
Him quietly and serve Him working for children
in Korea. When I work with my heart for Him,
then He will bring great things for COJ-Korea.

In April 2015, 10 COJ Korea members visited the Sharing
Garden orphanage and home for those suffering from
Down Syndrome to share the love of God. Dawning the
love that comes from God’s own heart, they shared and
experienced the unconditional love with all the members
of this orphanage hoping that they too would come to
know the love from their heavenly Father who loves them
so much.
