Riverside Tree Q&As Alex Pasapera & Ana Lucia Correa Mendoza Q: What are you currently studying at university? A: I am studying electronic engineering. Q: Why did you choose this major? A: To be honest with you, I first chose this major because it was the best choice at the university and it currently pays the most. But the more I study this topic, the more projects God has been putting in my heart. Q: What do you mean by God has been putting projects in your heart? A: Well, with the money I raise, I want to help construct new churches and reach out to the kids in my neighborhood who have fallen into the world and do drugs. Through all the help and support I have received through the program, I want to go out and support others and share God’s love to them with the money I make. 24 HHK World Mission Center Q: How has Riverside Tree helped you? A: I mean it paid for all of my university tuition, which took the burden off of my mom and off of me. We were struggling to meet our basic needs, and I had no hope of going to college. If I did not get accepted into the program, I was thinking about going to the military because there was no way my mom could support all of us. But truly, this program has changed our lives. Q: What do you want to do now to help those around you? A: Riverside Tree is helping a certain number of youths every year… and this is actually creating a chain reaction. We, who are being helped now, want to go out and help those around us, just as we have received. I personally want to create a foundation that helps children and young adults who fall back because of the lack of love and care they receive. That’s what Riverside Tree has done for a lot of people, and I want to go and share this love and care to others who desperately need them now.
