Coats & Happiness
After calling and igniting the fire in the hearts of
5,000 young people in 2010, our God has expanded
the Abba Peru ministry into 11 different regions.
The Abba Coordinators’ meeting to prepare for
Abba Peru 2016 was a time of encountering our
living God.
This is my first time wearing a new jacket like this.”
It was less than 100 U.S. dollars and we never
expected those words from his mouth. All of a
sudden, we were overwhelmed with sadness. We
hugged Pastor Jose and cried together in this men’s
clothing store in Lima for a long time.
At the end of the meeting we planned something
very special and surprising for the pastors. We
wanted to purchase a new suit for each pastor who
worked so tirelessly for the Lord. We were praying
for God’s timing since for past 5 to 6 years, as these
pastors showed up always with exactly the same
jackets and pants. We told the pastors, “since we have
some time left before our flight, how about we go
and do street evangelism with all of you. Please get
ready and meet us at the front gate.” All the pastors
came out with Bibles in their hands, wearing the
same jackets and pants.
That’s when we heard these words from the Lord
into our hearts, “Well done. I waited a long time for
someone to come and buy him those clothes. He
dedicated all of his life for the orphans and I wanted
him to wear that new jacket. Well done!”
As we arrived at the shopping place, we had to tell
them the truth and they were not only surprised but
very shocked. With great joy, they started to try their
sizes and colors. But we noticed two pastors standing
in the corner of the store not knowing what to do.
There are still so many pastors like that not only in
Peru but all over the world who are giving their lives
for the kingdom and righteousness of God without
much. Our God has never forgotten about them and
so should we not.“Raven of Love” has been flying
high to reach many of these God-fearing and yet
struggling pastors. How about you? Won’t you join us
and fly with us?
They were Pastor Jose from Arequipa, in charge of
the orphanage and Pastor Reyes from Satipo, the
jungle area of Peru. We first approached Pastor Jose
and asked, “don’t you like the colors or the styles of
the clothes in this
