Our church, “Called by Jesus,” was established by
13 members of several families in November 2011.
For the first two months we met either in a house or
a store operated by one of the members. While we
were meeting in a private house or store, we were
looking for a church building. We were looking at
American church buildings because we had to think
about space not only for our worship services but
also for our children’s Bible studies as well.

Once we received the tremendous love of Jesus by
having a church building for our service, we decided
to help someone in need. We happened to hear
about the “Raven of Love” Mission at the Hanhee
Kim Mission Center in Denver, Colorado, which is
helping pastors in Peru.
Peru is a country that I had visited twice for mission
trips when I was a seminary student, and I had
a special love for that country. Since I had also
experienced the raven’s love many times when I was
a student, I decided to participate in the program. I
discussed the matter with others who approved of
the work without any problems.
Currently we are helping two pastors in the suburban
areas of Lima, Peru. Even though we can’t provide
a large amount of support, we are very happy to
support them as was the widow of Zarephath.
Whenever we hear the news of their joy receiving
our help, we are indeed very happy that we can also
help somebody as well.
We thank God that we can help somebody, as we
were helped by many other hands. We also thank
the Hanhee Kim Mission Center for giving us such
an opportunity to share our gratitude. We pray that
we will share the love of Jesus until the day of His
return.
Glory to our Lord, Jesus!
After about two weeks of looking, I was driving
and found a church built beautifully with red bricks.
Believing that this was the church Jesus wanted us to
use, I stepped into the office to see a senior pastor.
Three days later we were informed that we could
use the church building for our service. The church
is located in Manassas, Virginia, and the name of
the church was Emmanuel Baptist Church. This is a
typical southern Baptist church with a membership
composed mainly of white people. This church also
has an education building.
