CARRIE LOZANO was until recently executive
producer for documentaries at Al Jazeera America.
Prior to that she was senior producer of the Emmy
and Peabody Award winning series Fault Lines. She
was also a contributing reporter on PBS Frontline’s
Black Money and Post Mortem. She is currently
producing and directing a documentary film about
jazz pianist Fred Hersch.
In 1971, BETTY MEDSGER, then a Washington
Post reporter, broke the story about FBI files stolen by
anonymous burglars. Those files proved FBI director
J. Edgar Hoover directed the agency to conduct dirty,
violent tricks against civil rights and peace activists
and African-Americans in general. In 2014, Medsger
revealed her sources in her book, The Burglary: The
Discovery of J. Edgar Hoover’s Secret FBI. She lives in
New York.
THOR NEUREITER is an independent
documentary producer, cameraman and editor
whose work focuses on US foreign policy and
domestic politics.
In 2012, Neureiter’s films Mitt Romney and the
Mormon Factor and Prosecute Wall Street aired on
Al Jazeera English. He has worked on programming
for PBS and HBO.
RON NIXON is a Washington correspondent
for the New York Times who covers federal
regulatory agencies. He is the chairman of the
board of 100Reporters and is author of the book
Selling Apartheid: Apartheid South Africa’s Global
Propaganda War (Jacana Media, June 2015).
