I had the pleasure of working with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks ' Outdoor Recreation Department th Through this internship , I have been exposed to the great amount of outdoor programming that exists in a thought would never have such thriving programming revolving around the nature surrounding the city . Sp become aware of how much of a difference these programs have on the health and quality of life of Baltim internship has opened my eyes to the importance of leisure time physical activity , and how large of a role R departments have in encouraging such physical activity . The internship started off with my site adviser giving me the opportunity to pick what specific programmin and learning about the different opportunities available to Baltimore citizens revolving around outdoor rec worked with the fabulous biking program , and I was even able to help out with some of the boating events the internship , I was able to start my own project that I knew would have an impact beyond my 8 week int revolving around how outdoor recreation programming promotes physical activity using behavior change t be able to create something that I knew would have an impact on the city even when my internship was ov to work on this project through the year , and cannot wait to get back out into the wonderful nature in Balt
