What is Baltimore Community ToolBank?
The Baltimore Community ToolBank wants to change the way our community does volunteerism! Only
the third ToolBank in the country, the Baltimore Community ToolBank is part of a national movement to
bring Tools for Change to Maryland.
I am incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to spend
my summer with The Baltimore Community ToolBank. I felt
welcomed by the staff and grew to appreciate them more as
friends than colleagues as I worked on my project. The
atmosphere of the ToolBank is both friendly and fun and
serious, as they understand the important role that they
serve for Baltimore and the non‐profits that utilize their
service.‐ Annie
Tasks:
• I created four exhibit style boards that displayed
the history of my non‐profit's building
• Intensive historical research at various museums
and institutions like the Maryland State Archives ‐
Met with various members of my neighborhood's
community to learn more through their
experience
