as the Algoma Central Railway winds its way through the heart
of Algoma Country and over 22,000 square miles of recreational
wilderness, including the world’s largest wildlife sanctuary.
Just load up your gear in the baggage car, grab a comfortable coach seat and let the
Railway get you on track to your adventure.
For the fisherman, there are over a dozen lodges located along the line and each will
provide an experience as unique as their location. The lakes in the rugged southern region
are home to world-class brook trout fishing and the northern Clay Belt region lakes are
home to walleye, perch and tackle busting northern pike.
For the outdoor enthusiast and eco-adventurer, there are numerous rivers to paddle, as
well as incredible ice and rock climbing opportunities. You can also load up your ATVs or
snowmachines.
