The Tennessee STEM Innovation
Network is a public-private
collaboration between TDOE and Battelle
Memorial Institute. It is designed to
promote and expand the teaching
and learning of science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
education in K-12 public schools across
Tennessee.

tnAchieves

tnAchieves is a post-secondary
access and success program with the
mission of increasing higher education
opportunities for Tennessee students
by providing last-dollar scholarships
with mentor guidance. In only six
years, tnAchieves has supported more
than 10,000 students in a community
or technical college with a retention
rate 50 percent greater than the state
average and graduation rate three times
the state average.
Battelle For Kids

Battelle for Kids is a national, nonprofit
organization that provides counsel and
solutions to advance the development
of human capital systems, the use
of strategic measures, practices for
improving educator effectiveness, and
communication with all stakeholders in
schools. Battelle currently collaborates
with education organizations in more
than 20 states, including Tennessee.
During the 2014-15 school year, Battelle
for Kids is providing access to the
Tennessee Student Progress Portal at
no cost to support K-12 public school
districts with online courses and
