“I believe that as humans,
we are inclined to do good

Fort Lewis College career and
professional experience, I have
been able to develop standards
of environmental integrity
and social responsibility
that would have never been
possible without these two
unique experiences.”

“My first experience with stand-up comedy was at
an open mic night on campus. A friend encouraged
me, and I got hooked. The students laughed and
were so supportive. That was my first taste of
stand-up comedy, but the coursework definitely
prepared me for what was to come.”
“FLC’s location means access to some of the world’s
best mountain playgrounds and classrooms. Having
so much biologic and geologic diversity accessible
to a three-hour lab section enriched my
education with field experience in the natural
sciences. That same landscape also allowed me to
pursue my passions while working on my degree.”
“When I went to FLC, I had ceramic knowledge, but
I didn’t have any of the business knowledge. I got to
learn stuff I needed to know that I had no idea that
I needed to know. Getting the taste of accounting
and management and PR really helped, and because
I had that experience, I also became the
accountant in the company.”
