grassroots community and cultural activities . Opening in April , the program ran in a new format to promote the role and value of arts , culture and heritage . The performance outcomes for this year included impact , quality , reach and viability of projects with a focus on celebrating the theme of ‘ place ’.
Under the RADF , our Oakey community was asked via a survey how and where they would like to see public art . The project was designed to tell the stories of local people and places through public art and capture the unique aspects of Oakey ’ s characters , the landscape and the area ’ s history .
Community support grant programs
Council recognises the important contribution community organisations make to the safety , health , equity and inclusiveness of our communities . The Community Support Grant Program provides funding and / or in-kind assistance to support community organisations in their efforts to provide services , activities and events that are of benefit to the community .
