participation in sport, recreation and community activities
encouraging our residents to make active, healthy choices.
The Parks and Recreation Services Branch are
responsible for the operation of:
• Conservation and pest management
• Grass control
• Nursery operations (including the Crows Nest
Community Nursery)
• Park Infrastructure
• Parks Strategy (including assets, planning and design,
sport and recreation and healthy lifestyle and parks
volunteer programs)
• Public Gardens
• Sports Infrastructure
• Tree Services
• Management and administration.
With more than 7,700 hectares of open space, the 2016
Toowoomba Region Open Space Strategy sets the
framework for the planning and delivery of quality open
space to meet future growth.
