au to www.tr.qld.gov.au aligning with best digital
communication practice.
Service improvement
This year saw the successful finalisation of the
Corporate Processes and Systems project in
November and the establishment of the Service
Improvement Branch. This project and the
establishment of the new branch will focus on
delivering functionality for the new Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) software (TechnologyOne)
implemented in the previous financial year. The new
ERP software will deliver an integrated approach
to services across the organisation, as well as
creating more efficient, accountable and transparent
processes. This work was completed on-time and
within required budget specifications.
A skilled Council workforce
Service Delivery across the region is reliant on
a skilled, empowered workforce to successfully
maintain the high level of support for our residents.
In order to attract and retain our workforce, Council
must implement contemporary human resource
practices and organisational development. This year,
the learning and development team delivered a
responsive, high-quality learning and development
service to meet the high expectations of our internal
stakeholders. This included training in the new
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software across the
organisation and the establishment of a training room
for use by Council staff at the hall in Greenmount.
