2014-2015 College Track Annual Report | Page 5

From the summer before ninth grade through college graduation, our 10-year program removes barriers that prevent students from earning their college degree by providing them with comprehensive academic support, leadership training, financial and college advising, and scholarships. We teach our students the skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond. College Track was founded in 1997. Today, our program serves more than 2,400 students across eight communities. We have six sites in California – East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, and the Los Angeles communities of Boyle Heights and Watts – one site in New Orleans, and one in Aurora, Colorado. This year, 94 percent of our high school seniors were accepted to fouryear colleges. Overall, our college students are graduating at a rate that is two and a half times the national average for low-income* students. *Pell Grant eligible 86% 94% HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES ACCEPTED TO FOUR-YEAR COLLEGES FIRST GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENTS 79% LOW-INCOME STUDENTS collegetrack.org collegetrack.org Page Page 55
