With over $32 million raised, including $17.5 million to support the
creation of the Gamma Knife and 3T MRI Centre at the University of
GIVING BACK
Alberta Hospital, the University Hospital Foundation’s Brain Centre
In 1993, Grant MacDonald, an
Edmonton-based Real Estate
Developer, began having headaches.
A CT scan and MR imaging revealed a
tumour the size of a golf ball growing
on his brain. “I was very fortunate. I
had two brain surgeries and they got
everything out.”
Campaign continues to build momentum as it enters its most
compelling phase.
Working closely in
partnership with Alberta
Health Services, the
future Brain Centre
will bring together all
brain-related care areas
within the University of
Alberta Hospital site.
