ONS Foundation
In 2013, the ONS Foundation funded two major
grants focusing on adherence to oral cancer
therapies. It was pleased to fund studies that
will provide oncology nurses with essential
resources to ensure that their patients are taking medications as prescribed.
Recognizing the need to disseminate nursing
research outcomes and to better understand
the educational needs of nurse researchers,
the ONS Foundation Board of Trustees approved
funding for a research think tank in 2013. The think
tank, scheduled for March 2014, will bring together
senior, mid-level, and junior nurse scientists to discuss the best ways to share scientific results and the
educational needs of scientists. Ultimately, the ONS
