Session I: Saturday, November 23, 2013 Estimate Estimate 705 703 704 702 707 Session I: Saturday, November 23, 2013 698 / 709 Estimate (315) 1908 LINCOLN 5¢ BLUE IMPERF, CENTER LINE BLOCK (PSE GRADED 90) ........................... PH $10,000 Outstanding and RARE center line block of 4. Due to the way the 33 imperforate sheets of 400 were divided (four panes of 100 stamps by guide lines), there are fewer than 6 center line blocks that could potentially exist per Max Johl. The Philatelic Foundation has only certified one center line block. This one is Post Office fresh, top two stamps extremely lightly hinged (to the point where hinging is virtually invisible), and bottom two stamps mint never hinged. An extremely fine GEM. A true 20th century RARITY, makes for a great showpiece! (2013 PSE Graded XF 90, Mint OGph, Cert #1262037). SMQ does not value center line blocks.
