Great specialized collection, beautifully displayed in five
volumes. Assembled by a true philatelic student, in addition to
the basic Scott listed stamps, the collector has identified various
printing, papers, overprint settings etc. For example, for the
1918-19 overprinted issues (Scott #15-26) he collected both
overprint spacings, as well as a pages of vertical shifts, horizontal shifts, and mangled letters, all identified by spacing
types. Additional material includes privately perforated issues;
the Gniezno provisionals used are expertized by Dr. Bohne
and Jungjohann/BPP; B11-14 NH expertized; 1919 and 1921
issues with various paper types identified; 1921 surcharged
3m/40t with different spacings, shifts, broken ‘k,’ and double
surcharge; 1921 Constitution issue with misperfs & other
varieties; and on and on, with shifts, setoffs, watermark
varieties, and more. Many better MINT never hinged sets,
including #215-26, 227-37, 242-43 (x2), 245, 246-48, 275,
277-78, 284-86, 287-91 plus #287-89 in cross gutter blocks,
294-304, 306-07, 314-16 S/S (plus a set on matching covers
with file folds), #320-32, 333 S/S both NH & used, B29
Stagecoach S/S, B31 Stratosphere Balloon S/S, C1-9, C10,
C11-12, Postage Dues and others; postal forgeries of #260 25g
Eagle; selection of used General Government stamps on pieces;
Dachau S/S; and finally a large and interesting selection of
Postage Due Locals, 1919-26, mostly used, many on piece,
various ‘Porto’ and ‘T’ overprints and handstamps, an estimated
350 stamps, identified and arranged by city. An interesting
and attractive collection, fresh, very fine throughout.

More than 1,500 clean & organized Mint & Used singles &
sets on stock pages in binder. Includes nice variety of issues
with some duplication, for Azores, Angola, Cape Verde,
Portuguese Guinea & India, Lourenco Marques, Inhambane,
Ponta Delgada, Mozambique & Mozambique Company,
Macau, Nyassa, St. Thomas & Prince Islands and Timor. Lots
of Ceres, common design types and colorful topicals. A few
faulty, overall fine to very fine material.

Two stockbooks with assortment of more than 2,500 mostly
USED stamps. Includes SWEDEN (x1420) used stamps;
ICELAND (x440) mint & (x120) used; DENMARK (x530) used.
Also noted a few NH Swedish S/S or booklets, a few covers &
FDCs. Nice selection, good mix of Classic & modern with no
duplication, overall fine to very fine. Great for the starter.

An estimated 30,000 stamps on tissue pages in two old ledger
books. Hundreds of examples of maybe 75 different classic
stamps so lots of heavy duplication. Includes: Mexico,
Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, El Salvador, others.
Perhaps a few sleepers here, would be of good use for the
‘cancel’ collector or fly-specker. Small faults to very fine.
