Only a very small supply of the 1861 Issue was sent to Jalapa in 1867 and was transferred to the Perote and Misantla Village post offices, with all of them receiving the small-size district overprint as used on the ‘Eagle’ issues. Huge single with JUMBO boardwalk margins tied to October 1867 folded wrapper originating in Zapotlan and locally dropped in Guadalajara. Extremely fine; (3) 1867 THIRD PRINTING (Scott #18) 2r BLACK ON ROSE WOVE, SINGLE FRANKING. Tied to April 14, 1868 folded wrapper to Potosi out of Guadalajara. Late usage.
